The site is primarily intended as a resource for those working in child care and school education. The Polish site contains information and tools for communicating in Polish. Our ambition is that our site will highlight useful educational resources also for the children and their parents who are interested in studies in the Polish language, our traditions and the culture.

Polish is spoken by about 38 million people in Poland, where it is the official language. About 10 million people speak Polish also in the other countries. Polish belongs to the West Slavic languages, group of the Slavic subfamily of the Indo-European family of languages. The Polish language is written in the Latin alphabet augmented by the use of diacritical marks. It is extremely rich phonetically.
